Islamic Wedding

We were honoured to receive an invitation from our driver to attend his sister's wedding.

The wedding was held in what seems to be the local community hall, with a street party happening outside.

Food features prominently:  Shortly after arriving each guest receives a snack box containing some water and snacks.  The ceremony seemed to last around 40 minutes, followed by the photo session with the family and friends.
Whilst the photo's are being taken, guests are invited to the buffet to dine.

The gent with the mike make a speech and then sings.  We can't understand of course but assume it's some kind of good luck chant.

Just like western weddings, the women use the opportunity to look their finest  (most of the gents, incidentally, wore jeans)

It seems new passports are issued too
