Singapore Trip #1: Gotham City

Wandering around Boat Quay Singapore at night is a lovely experience.
The restaurants of delectable smells and tastes, the pubs of laughter, cheer and good times, and the strategically lit architecture.

My favourite 'night time' building has to be this one:
UOB Building

UOB Towers

For whatever reason, these scream "Gotham City" at me and I couldn't help but keep checking the sky for the bat signal :)

We also discovered a hanging garden behind a coffee shop - unfortunately we didn't get to go back in the morning to try the coffee :(

Then there's the sculpture of the young lads jumping into the river:

Under the watchful gaze of the grand looking hotel:

and whilst I remain oblivious to the reasoning behind the 'blue bridge', it does look pretty cool:

We had a pleasant little walk, and the air was surprisingly low in the humidity stakes.  Actually it felt a whole heap cooler than Jakarta.  A fine end to a fine day that included catching up with a friend and being caught in a storm front, 57 stories above ground....in open air.  But that's probably another story of its own.
